Ballistics
nVent TRACHTE offers a range of security options, which are designed to protect critical equipment and personnel from potential security threats. UL-rated bullet-resistant materials can be added to nVent TRACHTE’s structural-steel framework while maintaining energy efficiency, thermal performance, and resistance to water intrusions.
Ballistics protection up to UL 752 Level-8 can be applied to exterior walls, doors, hardware and building penetrations.
Ballistics-Protected Facilities feature:
- Same dimensions, appearance, and structural properties as a standard nVent TRACHTE building.
- Same interior and exterior materials and finish options.
- Ballistics protection is invisible from the interior or exterior.
Optional Security Products:
- EMP Hardening
- Specialty security door designs and hardware.
- Electric door strikes and door alarms.
- Interior occupancy sensors and exterior motion lighting.
- Provisions for customer-supplied security, camera, and card reader systems.
EMP Mitigation Solutions
nVent TRACHTE applies patent-pending EMP mitigation techniques and engineered EMP-resistant materials to all points of entry and building penetrations including entry doors, HVAC openings, cable tray, and conductors. We can retrofit EMP to existing concrete structures.
EMP hardened facilities feature:
- Desired attenuation level of EMP protection for infrastructure and equipment.
- Same dimensions, appearance, and structural properties as a standard nVent TRACHTE building.
- Same interior and exterior materials and finish options
- EMP hardening is not visible from interior or exterior.
- Shield layer is sandwiched between interior and exterior panels.
- Compatible with Fire and Ballistic enhancements.
nVent TRACHTE EMP-resistant buildings are factory and site- tested in accordance with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) EMP testing methods.
