nVent Makes Strides in People Pillar ESG Goals

The recent publication of nVent’s 2022 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report showcased strong results in nVent’s People ESG pillar. The report includes statistics that show an increase in the following categories: employee satisfaction, representation of women in management, racially diverse U.S. employees and Employee Resource Group (ERG) membership. The report also highlights the culture, accomplishments and goals that we pursue for our employees and communities. 

nVent is focused on building a culture of inclusion, diversity, employee engagement, safety and integrity. This vision is clear based on the results of nVent’s 2022 engagement survey. The survey demonstrated that 75% of employees report positive employee satisfaction, which is a 2% increase from the 2020 results. With over 11,000 employees making up our global workforce in 35 countries around the world, nVent continues to value the well-being and job satisfaction of its employees. 

Along with the business growth nVent has experienced in the last five years, we have continued to promote a culture of inclusion throughout the organization. We believe that inclusion and diversity can make an impact in all parts of our business. We intentionally invest in our culture of inclusion and diversity since diverse perspectives are crucial for the company’s ability to innovate and grow. Our vision is to create and sustain an inclusive environment that fosters business growth. nVent has nine employee resource groups (ERG) which play a critical role in giving employees a voice and connecting them with their peers. Our ERGs empower nVent employees to become members and leaders within groups that drive initiatives that align with their passions. In 2022, ERG membership increased by 17% with more than 1,000 members. 

In 2022, nVent’s efforts resulted in an 8% increase in the representation of women in management globally and a 22% increase in the representation of racially diverse U.S. professional employees. Employees at nVent experience inclusion, innovation and growth and are encouraged to reinforce the culture through their actions and behaviors.

Looking ahead, nVent has goals to increase women in management globally by 20% and racially diverse U.S. professional employees by 25%. Progress towards our People goals holds importance to nVent as we continue to grow and develop diverse talent. The 2022 ESG report represents an important step in reporting the progress nVent has achieved and works to continue in the future.
