DR14 Mechanical Anchor
Mechanical anchors, often called headed bars, are secured to the end of a length of reinforcing steel bar (rebar), creating anchorage within the concrete. This approach greatly simplifies reinforcing bar placement and reduces congestion. Headed bars are often used as a replacement for hooked bars.
The nVent LENTON Ultimate DR14 Mechanical Anchors are 9x size heads, designed for high performance applications. The DR14 Mechanical Anchors are permanently installed at the fabricator and will not loosen or fall off during transportation or installation.
Typical applications for DR14 Mechanical Anchors include beam to column, roof to column, piles to caisson, and future extensions. DR14 Mechanical Anchors are ideal for all forms of construction including dams, subways, bridges, high rise buildings, water treatment plants and stadiums.
nVent LENTON Ultimate Mechanical anchors are available in 4x and 9x head sizes and are pre-qualified for Caltrans use. Each head type meets the requirements of ASTM® A970 Types A, HA and B. All performance ratings are for rebar sizes #4 through #18.
