Inclusion and Diversity

Inclusion and Diversity is a Cornerstone of Our Strategy

At nVent, we believe diverse perspectives are key to our company’s ability to innovate and grow. Our inclusive work environment drives innovation, connection and growth for all our employees and business partners. We value all dimensions of diversity and work hard to make sure all voices are heard, respected and represented.

We intentionally invest in inclusion and diversity because we believe that diverse perspectives are key to our company’s ability to innovate for our customers and grow. Our inclusive work environment drives innovation, connection and growth for our employees and business partners.”

Our Strategic Pillars

Our vision is to create and sustain an inclusive environment that fosters business growth. We are building an industry-leading, diverse, global and multicultural organization. Our approach to integrating inclusion and diversity into all aspects of our business is defined by these pillars:

Employees: Our focus on people is key to how we do business—employees are central to our inclusive culture.

Customers: We are working to make the electrical industry more inclusive and diverse through our external relationships and partnerships.

Suppliers: We are focused on supplier diversity, which promotes engagement, innovation and growth through diverse business relationships.

Communities: Our programs align with our commitment to being a good community partner in the places where we live, work and do business.

I&D in Action

Employees at nVent help shape and execute on our strategy. Our Inclusion and Diversity Council, made up of nVent employees who apply for seats that come open on a rotating basis, act as champions and advocates for inclusion and diversity initiatives.

Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are formed by employees who share a common interest, background or experience. They are responsible for leading our employee-driven inclusion and diversity efforts.

ERGs play a critical role in giving employees a voice and providing leadership opportunities for those who seek them out. In 2022, ERG membership increased by 17% from 2021, growing to more than 1,000 unique members.

EEO REPORTING

Our annual EEO-1 Report is a snapshot of our U.S. demographics using categories prescribed and defined by the federal government. These categories are not necessarily representative of how our global workforce is organized. The overviews of our 2020 and 2021 EEO-1 Reports are available here. Our 2022 ESG Report provides a more complete representation of our inclusion and diversity efforts.
