2023 Bloomberg Gender Equality

nVent in den Bloomberg Gender Equality Index 2023 aufgenommen

Der Gender-Equality Index gibt Einblicke in einen wichtigen Bereich unseres ESG Reports.

nVent is pleased to announce that it has joined 483 other companies as a member of the 2023 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI), a modified market capitalization-weighted index developed to gauge the performance of public companies dedicated to reporting gender-related data. This reference index measures gender equality across five pillars: leadership & talent pipeline, equal pay & gender pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and external brand.

The 2023 GEI reaches globally to represent 45 countries and regions.  Member companies represent a variety of sectors, including financials, technology, and utilities, which continue to have the highest company representation in the index from 2022.

“At nVent, our people are our priority and our strength, and I am extremely proud of our truly differentiated culture,” said nVent Chief Human Resources Officer Lynnette Heath. “Being included in the GEI is a great validation of the work we have done since the beginning of our company to ensure inclusion and diversity is core to who we are. We have set ambitious goals to increase the representation of women in management positions in our company, and we will continue to foster a culture that supports women at all stages of their careers.”

Last year, nVent was included in the 2022 GEI and has since made even more progress on gender diversity. In its latest ESG report nVent shared that representation of women in management positions had increased by four percent. Women currently hold half of nVent’s Board of Directors seats, including Susan M. Cameron, who is nVent’s Lead Director.

"Congratulations to the companies that are included in the 2023 GEI," said Peter T. Grauer, Chairman of Bloomberg and Founding Chairman of the U.S. 30% Club. "We continue to see an increase in both interest and membership globally, reflecting a shared goal of transparency in gender-related metrics.”

To qualify for the GEI, nVent submitted a social survey created by Bloomberg, in collaboration with subject matter experts globally. Those included on this year’s index scored at or above a global threshold established by Bloomberg to reflect disclosure and the achievement or adoption of best-in-class statistics and policies.
